I saw him sitting on the sidelines about midway through the second half and how he was smiling and seemed to be joking with his teammates and thought, "man, this guy doesn't seem to realize he's playing the last game of his college career and he's watching it from the pine." As has been all but about three players on the team this year, he was oblivious to just total lack of devotion or pride this team has exhibited. It just epitomized the character or lack there of, exhibited by the 2007-08 Wolfpack. Thanks for stinking up the 25th anniversary of the '83 championship team. I guess in a way this squad made us appreciate that effort even more. I remember it seemed Sendek had to purge some Robinson recruits before his teams improved (i.e. Thornton and Inge) and went on to the NCAAs. Maybe Sidney has to do the same? Man, how did Coach go from looking so in control on the sidelines last year to appearing like he was checking his watch to get to the next appointment after the game was over? It's not very much fun being an NC State basketball fan the past several years. First the Sendek controversy and then this. The bottom line is the bottom line and NC State needs to get its act together, and soon. There are problems top to bottom in this program and it's going to slide into an abyss it will take another decade to get out of if the bleeding is not staunched soon. Great article.
