Yeah, I would not have a problem with any of those guys as AD. My question to you about Barnes, why would he want to leave Texas???

I think Miller would be a good, younger coach to go after.

I must confess that I misread - and thought you were saying AD - but after second reading - I caught it was all about BB Coach.

And there is no doubt who I would go after First - none other than Rick Barnes.

There are several others that merit our attention - Miller at Xavier - Stallings at Vanderbilt - McKilop at Davidson

Also, there’s a lot of debate in the end sequence about Lowe trying to call a timeout but the refs shrugging it off (or not hearing it.) That would change a lot of the criticism if proven true, wouldn’t it?

I am tickled Sendek is gone - never should have hired him in the first place - should have been fired 5 years before he left - Lowe should never have been hired, either - couldn’t even graduate from State - let alone Coach.

Flowler @ Company have never learned how to Hire Or Fire a Coach.

Flower @ Company have lowered “The Bar” for Athletics at State - from WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS - to MEDIOCRITY - total Mediocrity - and have destroyed all Hope to restore our Athletics.

Wake Forest’s AD @ his Athletics - puts us to “Shame”. It is totally Embarrassing @ Humiliating to have Best Facilities - @ Worse Coaches @ AD in the ACC. We are truly - “the laughing Stock of the ACC”.

Do You think UNC - would “put up” with getting their Ass whipped - like we have been getting ours whipped.

There was a Day when we did it to them - they got “sick” of it - went out - hired Coaches - to match us - And have “kept” their ” Athletic Programs” on track ever since. That’s something we’ve never Learned how to Do.

I don’t know about YOU, but I am “sick and tired” of UNC beating our Ass relentlessly - in everything - and I am “sick and tired” - of Flowler @ Co. telling us to shut up - “that’s the Best we can Do” - and don’t tell anybody I’m not doing a good Job.

Ask Chancellor Oblinger - he’ll tell you I am doing a Great Job - and “that’s the Best we can Do”.

So, there you have it!!! Do You like it? If so - keep Flowler - If you don’t like it - then lets kick Flowler’s Ass out - and I mean “out”.

You know, I’ve read a few things about Gavin Grant being benched and it being such a sad thing for him. I saw him sitting on the sidelines about midway through the second half and how he was smiling and seemed to be joking with his teammates and thought, “man, this guy doesn’t seem to realize he’s playing the last game of his college career and he’s watching it from the pine.” As has been all but about three players on the team this year, he was oblivious to just total lack of devotion or pride this team has exhibited. It just epitomized the character or lack there of, exhibited by the 2007-08 Wolfpack. Thanks for stinking up the 25th anniversary of the ‘83 championship team. I guess in a way this squad made us appreciate that effort even more. I remember it seemed Sendek had to purge some Robinson recruits before his teams improved (i.e. Thornton and Inge) and went on to the NCAAs. Maybe Sidney has to do the same? Man, how did Coach go from looking so in control on the sidelines last year to appearing like he was checking his watch to get to the next appointment after the game was over? Uggggh… glad it’s done.

Great article.

It’s not very much fun being an NC State basketball fan the past several years. First the Sendek controversy and then this.

The bottom line is the bottom line and NC State needs to get its act together, and soon. There are problems top to bottom in this program and it’s going to slide into an abyss it will take another decade to get out of if the bleeding is not staunched soon.

Bottom line is that Lowe is going nowhere soon, nor should he, not yet anyway. Fowler will not fire him, and he will not fire the assistant that was the 1973/73 starting point guard that sits beside him, We simply do not know how well a Sidney Lowe team will be until he has his own players in place.

I a Season Ticket Holder, During the Duke Game when State had over a 10 point lead, there were State Fans sitting in their seats and in fact the guys sitting behind me told my group to sit down and be quite. In fact My group actually had so Carolina Fans with us cheering for State, and they were surprised on the lack of enthusiasm from our fans. We need to get loud and proud, and stand on our feet….. If you want to watch the game sitting down, and in a quite environment….. stay home & give your ticket to some one who will help the loudness of the game. Lets home the team wins the ACC Championship if not……. Lets get the quite fans out……I actually saw some people sleeping during the game……..That is shameful ……..Where Red, Be Loud, and together we will win and be Proud!!!! Go Wolfpack………!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a NC State Grad, I would like to know how all the alumni that chased out Herb Sendek feels now. Sidney Lowe could not coach if he had 5 Lebron James on his team. I was pissed off when Herb went to ASU. People did not like his slow tempo, but he got better results than Sidney ever will. Herb took us to the dance several times. We will be lucky to make it to the NIT with Lowe.

Tom Stafford does a terrible job and 9 times out of 10 he doesnt care a damn about the students, just what is PC.
